Exactly one year ago today I started tipping people regularly. During that time I've tipped 591 different users a total of 1054 times! I basically tip a post when a simple thumb isn't enough to cover the awesomeness of said post. Maybe it's something funny, something insightful, something useful, or even something I was going to say but they already said it better. There's a lot of ways to earn my tip, but it's basically my seal of quality.

So, I've decided to take a look at who I have tipped the most times over the past year. Obviously these people have made the most awesome contributions to BGG and are the absolute best people on this site; my system is completely infallible!

Okay, so it's heavily biased in many ways, including the areas of BGG I frequent. E.g., The best people of Chit Chat and the best of RS&P likely will not come to light here, since I rarely visit those forums. That's okay though, because the people below are still candy-coated in awesome. Obviously, feel free to bow before these folk and administer your own praise and point out their quality stuff.

I honestly had no idea who would end up topping the list when I started this, but once the smoke cleared the man with the cherry pie avatar was standing on top. Legomancer is consistently funny and even has some useful non-comedy contributions to boot! Some of the good stuff:

GL - Games in Which a Component Could be Replaced with a Kumquat
GL - You Sure You Got the Right Game?
GL - Lies About Board Games

The 3 lists above only include one of his top 10 geeklists; make sure you check out some of his other great stuff as well!

I game with Lego and a few other people almost every Sunday. He has yet to bring us pie.

Sure, unless your job is 'pie delivery man', in which case the above comment makes it perfectly clear that you are NOT doing your job.

I just wish I had come up with the name Legomancer first.

A somewhat surprising second spot, since Chris didn't stand out in my memory as someone I would tip a ton. Chris earned this spot primarily by being a generous fellow, hooking people up with missing game components without a second thought. Add to that the occasional witty or clever comment and you have Mr. Hansen.

GL Item - Chris describes his find of 'In Your Face'
GL Item - Chris makes databases sound fun

Ah, but *I* don't have great taste in music, so I don't even recognize it. Always wondered what it was actually ;) I listen to stuff like... video game music... or Swedish celtic techno!

Thanks Twinge! Quite an honor to make your list! Though I can't say I agree with the Mormon version of Mad Gab being my representative game. Wouldn't something like this be a little better? :)

Challengers is my least favorite New Pornographers album musically, but their best cover by far.
