Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Updated version of 950Rav's cards (although built from scratch), these include all eight familiars from the expansions and base game. If printed double sided these cards should have all the rules for familiars on the back.

This file contains rules and explanations on use of the character classes for a modified version of Descent (Cleric, Mage, Ranger, Rogue, and Warrior), and spellcasting. Also included are 6 sample character sheets.

Typical Town shopping list. A useful reference for new players. Including dice rolls to give an idea of what may do more damage or what may offer more range. The Play Sheet is for active dungeoneering. Lots of good information for new players and reference information for seasoned players. Much of the information is a copy of prior work. I put my name on it only as the last editor of these changes. Thank you to all those who may have unwittingly contributed parts and information. Your work though not properly referenced has been well received by several noobs!

This is a psd I made in CS3 using the sample card provided in Fantasy Flight's freely available "Build Your Own Hero" pdf as a template. Users wishing to edit this card in Photoshop or Gimpshop need only open it and navigate to each of the clearly labeled layers to change their values using the text tool. Similarly, if a user applies the magic wand tool to the white space of the character portrait area, you can use the "paste into" command to add any properly sized image you wish. The file is saved at 200 dpi, suitable for printing. I will post example cards I have created with this template on my site, http://www.nonstoptabletop.com

Kit contains a 90 card Dungeon Deck, a 90 card Spawn Deck (including creatures from Well of Darkness) Instructions and a Treasure Table. Cards are designed for 2” x 3.5” business card stock to simplify printing. (Avery 8371 or similar). Three finished cards per business card. Kit allows for solitaire adventures, no Overlord necessary. Randomly generated dungeons, events and rewards. Typically 1-2 hr. play time.
